It depends on how much you customise. Most delays come from changes after the sample is approved, so we lock every comment in writing before production starts.

What is the minimum order for a t-shirt manufacturer in Italy?

From 30 to 50 pieces per style, depending on the fabric. Some mills sell fabric only in minimum lengths, so the fabric sets the floor. Larger runs lower the price per piece.

How much does it cost to produce t-shirts in Italy?

At 50 pieces, expect €15–20 per piece for essential cotton t-shirts, €30–35 for premium fabrics and custom fits, and €45–70 for Supima cotton, linen, or luxury finishing. Between 100 and 300 pieces, the unit price can drop by up to 30%. Samples are quoted separately.

How long does t-shirt production take?

About 2 weeks for a classic t-shirt cut in stock colours. A fully customised t-shirt, with prototype and sample, takes around 8 weeks from approved brief to delivery.

Can I create a private label t-shirt line?

Yes. Private label (the manufacturer's base product, made under your brand) is the fastest route. You choose fabric, colour, and labels. We also develop fully custom styles from your own pattern.

Can I combine print and embroidery on the same t-shirt?

Yes. We combine screen or digital printing with embroidery on the same garment, including detailed artwork. Custom dyeing and washes are also available.

Do I need a tech pack to start?

It helps, but it's not required. You can start from a reference t-shirt or sketches. Our team can build the tech pack for you before sampling.

Can I visit the factory?

Yes. You can visit the manufacturers in Italy and see your production in person. Your project manager organises the visit.

Do you ship t-shirts outside Europe and handle customs?

Yes. Italian Artisan ships worldwide and manages customs, duties, and labelling requirements with you, so your order arrives without surprises.
