Six steps, the same for a 50-piece capsule and a multi-category collection. You can enter at step 3, 4 or 5 depending on what you already have.
Fill in the project form: product categories, the support you need, references or tech pack, budget range and a few lines about the brand. Our team reads it and books a call with you within 1–3 business days.
On the call we go through feasibility, the right route for your case and what the next weeks look like. No commitment at this stage.
After the call you receive a written proposal: scope, phases, cost estimate for each phase, from development to unit production, and the expected timeline. Nothing starts until you confirm it.
Once confirmed, your dedicated project manager runs a kick-off meeting to align goals, deliverables and dates. An NDA is signed on request before any file is shared.
A production needs a tech pack. If you have one, we review it. If you do not, our designers build it: technical drawings from every view, proportions and measurements, materials, trims, labels and functional parts, Pantone palette, seams, finishes and construction, print or embroidery guidelines.
If the collection is still a concept, creative design comes first: trend analysis, moodboard, sketches and colour palette. Material research runs alongside, sourcing leathers, fabrics and hardware from qualified Italian suppliers with physical samples. A delivery meeting closes the phase.
We match each product to the Italian workshop that fits its construction, price point and quantities: one lab per category if the collection needs it. The selection comes with a feasibility study and a technical review of the tech pack, so problems surface before any material is cut.
The workshop works for Italian Artisan, and all communication runs through your project manager. You can visit the workshop with us: many brands do, at the sample stage.
The workshop makes the pattern and a first prototype: the right shape, construction and fit, not yet the final finish. You review it, your comments are logged in writing and the prototype is corrected until you approve it.
Then the pre-production sample, in the final materials, with its data sheet. Once approved it becomes the reference every production piece is checked against. Your project manager sends a mid-process update and holds a feedback meeting during the phase.
The production order sets quantities, unit prices and delivery date. Bulk production starts on a deposit and is monitored by your project manager from material arrival to the last piece. Every run is checked in Italy against the approved sample before it ships.
We ship worldwide, prepare customs documents and take care of care and origin labels for your market. Patterns and references stay on file, so reorders skip the development phase.
Most brands come to us with an idea and a few references. Some arrive with a full tech pack, others with samples already approved elsewhere. The process adapts.
Whatever the entry point, the same dedicated project manager follows the project through to delivery.
Production in Italy fails on unclear specs, silent weeks and surprises at delivery. The method is built to remove all three.
If a prototype or a sample deviates from the approved tech pack, we correct it at our cost. Changes you ask for after approval are priced before they are made.
Every product is different, but two numbers hold for most projects. The design hub adds a few weeks when the tech pack starts from scratch, and the first call is within 1–3 business days of your request.

Lead times depend on category, materials and the time of year. Your proposal states the dates for your project, and your project manager keeps them.
