Pick the number of styles in your collection and the prices update. Every plan comes with a dedicated project manager, and production has no service fee.

    • Cost estimate by phase: prototype, samples, productionA clear estimate and breakdown of the costs of prototyping, sampling and unit production, with the time required for each phase.
    • Workshop selected and matched to your productWe select the Italian workshop that fits your product, construction, price point and quantities.
    • Pattern and prototype, corrected until approvedPaper pattern and first prototype with the workshop, monitored from pattern to your feedback, with corrections until you approve it.

01Production

Production: no service fee, only your products

Once the sample is approved, you sign the production order and pay the unit prices quoted for your styles and quantities. Our work on the production is included.

  • Dedicated project managerKick-off, feasibility check, risk assessment and monitoring of the whole run, from material arrival to the last piece.
  • Quality control in ItalyEvery run is checked against the approved sample before it ships. Mid-process update and feedback meeting included.
  • Shipping and customs handledWorldwide shipping quoted separately, customs documents and labelling requirements managed with you.
  • Reference minimum: 30–50 pieces per style (50 for knitwear, 40–50 pairs for shoes)Every product is evaluated on its own. The unit price drops as the run grows, and reorders skip development.

You choose one design plan, never both: Tech Design if you already have materials and references, Creative + Tech Design if you also need the design. Pick where you start and read the total for your number of styles.

Prices in euro, VAT excluded where applicable. The Development Lab is included with Tech Design from 3 styles and with Creative + Tech Design from 2: in most cases the total is the design plan alone. On its own, the Development Lab is never more than a design plan that includes it.

Questions about pricing

Are these prices per style?

Yes. Each plan is priced on the number of styles in your collection, and the price per style drops as the number grows: the full table is on this page, from 1 to 10 styles. For more than 10 styles, or for a product with several colourways or sizes to grade, tell us about the project and we send a written proposal.

When is the Development Lab free?

With Tech Design the Development Lab is included for free from 3 styles; with Creative + Tech Design from 2 styles. So for most collections you only pay the design plan. Below those thresholds it can be added for 800 euro. Its standalone price applies only if you already have a tech pack and buy the Development Lab alone.

How much does production cost?

There is no service fee on production: you pay the unit prices of the products, quoted in writing per style and quantity after the brief, plus shipping. A dedicated project manager, quality control in Italy and the mid-process updates are included.

Do the plans include the cost of prototypes and samples?

No. The plans cover our team's work: design, documentation, workshop selection, supervision and project management. The workshop's cost for prototypes, samples and materials is estimated in the Development Lab and quoted to you before it is incurred.

Do I have to buy a plan to produce with you?

If you already have a complete tech pack and approved samples, you can go straight to production with no service fee. Most brands start from the Development Lab, because the workshop that samples is the one that produces.

Can I change plan later?

Yes. You can move from Tech Design to Creative + Tech Design, or add the Development Lab, at any point before the next phase starts: you only pay the difference.

How do I pay?

Everything is invoiced by Italian Artisan and paid through our platform, by card or bank transfer. The schedule for your project is written in the proposal, phase by phase, before anything starts.
